Documentation Center (CEDOC)

Nitlpan’s Documentation Center, which currently has more than 5,000 computerized entries, specializes in collecting documentation on development and agrarian issues.  It forms part of the FLACSO Member Centers’ Network of Virtual Social Sciences Libraries of Latin America and the Caribbean and of RENIDA, the National Network of Agrarian Information and Documentation of Nicaragua (www.una.edu.ni/renida).  It also belongs to METABASE, A Central American bibliographical network headquartered in Costa Rica’s Fundación Acceso (www.metabase.net). 

The CEDOC provides the following services to its users:

•Consultation in the reading room

•Home lending

•Inter-library lending

•Sale of Nitlapan and UCA publications

•Search for and export of data

•Dissemination of new acquisitions

The center’s installations are adequate for providing consultations by students and academics who visit the Institute.

Access to CEDOC is free and without charge to all users.  It is open from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

In Nicaragua, Nitlapan’s publications are for sale at the following establishments: central Nitlapan offices, Hispamer Bookstore, El Parnaso bookstore, ALDILAC bookstore, Nuevos Libros bookstore and the documentation centers of MAGFOR, IICA and SIMAS.
